​Thick & Sweet 甜腻腻 is a short video collage about Yen Ching, a Chinese restaurant in Milwaukee that was recently demolished after 40 years of operation. Rather than documenting its deconstruction, the film reconstructs personal and collective memories while exploring stereotypes surrounding Asian American representation in popular media—through a collage of food, memory, personal experience, immigrant life, film, and history.
